This was my first visit to Liverpool Football Club’s home – Anfield. As a massive supporter of the Club, this was very much a pilgrimage. Despite enduring a Grade 2 gastrocnemius tear on my right calf muscle two days prior to flying to England, and being in an air-cast for the next five weeks, I still wanted to continue with my first visit to Liverpool. The primary reason for my trip was for club captain Steven Gerrard’s testimonial match – a rare occasion. On hindsight, I was glad I did this trip. Hobbling around in an air-cast was not too difficult after some practice, and I had come to really love the atmosphere of Liverpool.
