It was great to return to one of my favourite big cities in the world. We landed in Rome without issue and took the subway to our bed and breakfast – B&B RomAnticaRoma. It was a quant and friendly B&B, where the owners allowed us to check in early and help ourselves to some breakfast. Shortly afterward, we walked to the The Vatican to see Pope Francis give his weekly blessing to the faithful in St. Peter’s Square. After, we walked in the nearby by neighbourhoods until our bodies told us to have an early rest and catch up on jet lag.
