Pamukkale, Turkey

After falling ill with a stomach flu and a fever on my overnight bus from Goreme, Cappadocia, I struggled my way back west to Pamukkale to see the white calcium mountains, also known as its travertines, and the ancient Roman city of Heiropolis where St. Phillip was martyred.  Abraham, of Hotel Venus, was very helpful during my stay, where I was offered a discount to my own air conditioned room – a nice relief from the hostels, treehouses, and caves.
