It was a bit cooler and wetter on my return trip to Tel Aviv. The last time I was here (July 2008), it was hot and perfect beach weather. In December, it better temperatures to walk around the modern city. So different from other cities we visited in Israel, Tel Aviv is modern and liberal. We enjoyed our stay in the Little Tel Aviv Hostel, which was located in the city center and just off the hip Rothschild Avenue and near the bohemian neighbourhood of Neve Tzedek. We were able to meet up with my friend Ilon who came in from nearby Ashkelon. The food scene in Tel Aviv is top notch and easy to navigate.
