Initially, I wasn’t sure if I was going to spend NYE in Cairns or in Sydney. In hindsight, I’m glad I decided to stay an extra day to see the spectacular fireworks at the Harbour along with 1.5 million other people. These had to have been the most amazing set of fireworks that I’d seen in my life. Earlier in the day, I spend the afternoon at Manly beach – an expansive beach north of the CBD. I really liked it there.
