My close friends, Sam and Geert, had moved back to Brussels less than a year ago from Edmonton. I had wanted to visit them for a while and I was glad I had the opportunity to spend time with them and their two young children, Sebastian and Klara. It was wonderful to catch up with them and be back in a city I had not been in since 2005. Geert and I had a fun time meeting with a (Dutch) European Member of Parliament over shale gas and its harmful effects. I hope to visit them again next summer when I return to Europe.
