Siena, Italy

We took a day trip to the beautifully medieval preserved city of Siena. Images of James Bond came to mind as we entered the old city. The Piazza del Campo was smaller than I imagined it to be because this is where their race horses take place, but the piazza was nonetheless majestic. Other places we enjoyed seeing were the Torre del Mangia, the Cathedral, the Baptistery, Santa Maria della Scala, Public Palace of Siena, and the Church of San Domenico. The food was amazing too – our first real gelati on our trip and had a delicious Florentine tripe dish.
