On our way from Florence to Cinque Terre, we made a day trip to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa and its surrounding park and cathedral. The Tower of Pisa is the campanile, or freestanding bell tower, of the cathedral, widely known worldwide for its unintended tilt. On our way back to the train station, we stopped at a gelateria to enjoy some gelati on this very warm spring afternoon.
