Chris and Reesa had an open invite to all friends to spend the New Year’s with them at the Kozier cabin in Grindstone Provincial Park (Manitoba). The only people to answer that call was me and Reesa’s friend Nathania. Shawn had originally invited me to a Winnipeg Jets game, but I decided to go the cabin instead. I had spent many summers there with the Koziers, but had never been there during the winter. It was a wonderful and hugely consequential weekend – it was the first time I met Nathania!
