I have been waiting in great anticipation for this music festival with some of my favourite bands performing including Interpol, Death Cab for Cutie, The Flaming Lips, Jay-Z, and Coldplay. The Pemberton site was gorgeous, which was nestled between glacier-laced mountains. However, the grounds itself were dusty (surpassing the dirtiness of Cairo), and the crowds at times were pushy and sometimes rude (given that we were front row). The crowd surfing was a mad crush of the fans which was tough on my body; BUT the music made up for all the pain my sister and I went through. Having not seen Coldplay live since London and Glasgow in 2005, the band was absolutely spectacular. I am really happy to have made it to this festival along with my sister, and her friends Pat, Shawn and Sean from PEI.
