After an easy border crossing overland from Turkey into Syria in the far east town of Qamishli, I took a 6 hour bus to Aleppo (Halab). Immediately, I missed the easy going-ness and honest cab drivers of Kurdistan; I was back in the tourist lanes again. Aleppo had a lot to offer, an easy city to navigate, a small souq, and a massive citadel. The public park was enjoyable, and the hostel front desk was exceptionally helpful!
