After the exhausting São Paulo gigs, I was in need of some relaxation. After some delays and running low on time, Jana, Colleen, and I decided to cut out a trip to Rio de Janeiro as originally planned and stick to the coast to clock in some beach and surfing time. We decided on going to Ubatuba for its legendary surf status. The beach near our Posada was good but crowded. The rude surf renter on the beach refused to service us, so we drove to a near by surf shop, got some boards, and went to an even better, expansive, and less busy beach. The waves were quite large, and tough to get through. I was reminded of how tiring it can be to surf!
