Having met Fr. Kinley when he studied at the University of Manitoba over 10 years ago, I always had an open invitation to visit the Jesuit Fathers in Darjeeling, India. Finally with some time, I made my way to the old British Hill Station, and stayed with the Fathers in their school – St. Joseph’s. It was winter break for the students, so it was nice to find some peace and quiet away from the hustle-and-bustle of the mega-city of Delhi where I had just came from. Celebrating Mass first thing in the early mornings and walking around this Himalayan town were highlights.
