Baalbek, Lebanon

A highlight of Lebanon, Baalbek has a rich Roman history. I went out to this site with Michael and Angela. The minibus was a rather strange ride, making a pit stop in the middle of a busy souq. We had no idea what the driver was doing, until we noticed him using the shared taxi as a transporter of goods. Michael was too funny and we’ll miss his company. The site itself is unbelievable. The largest pillars are still in existence, with some taken by Emperor Justinian to be used for Hagia Sophia in Constantinople.
