Chogha Zanbil Ziggurats, Iran

The Chogha Zanbil Ziggurats were built around 1250 BC (well over 3000 years old).  As Iran’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, Chogha Zangil was incredibly well preserved to this day.  What I found most outstanding was how quiet it was there.  Unlike the Giza Pyramids, which were over run by tourists with lots of rubbish blowing around, Chogha Zanbil was tranquil with only one other person there walking around, and it was pleasantly clean.
