I was on another work trip down to southern Alberta, visiting Medicine Hat and Lethbridge. One thing that strikes me about driving along the highway is the big open sky from which to appreciate the streams of heavy clouds and hues of light. Around this time of year, periods of heavy rain and blue skies allows for some scenic horizons.
The Lethbridge Viaduct is an impressive piece of engineering. This bridge is the largest railway structure in Canada and the largest of its type in the world. I was also able to visit The Helen Schuler Nature Centre which is nestled in the coulee and a quiet sanctuary explaining the significance of grasslands to the ecosystem.
